Susana joined Paradox Interactive bringing with her experiences in running the Swedish part of an international non-profit organisation and marketing from a large consumer goods company in London. She joined Paradox as they were just transitioning from being a developer to starting their own publishing business. Over the years she has been a part of growing the company both in size and impact. She says that joining the games industry was a chance decision but staying in it was a very conscious decision.
In her own words:
“For me the games industry in an industry that displays all the traits important to me and that I have only encountered in the nonprofit sector previously – passion, dedication and a strong belief in what you are doing. The people who work in it are skilled, able to grow and develop and I learn something new from my colleagues every day. I also view it as industry where it matters less who you are and more about what you deliver. We all have different competencies, skills and experiences and when each of us bring a different piece of the puzzle, it creates a complete picture. Add some business sense and focus on player value to the mix and you have all the ingredients to create a sustainable, long term business creating games that have an impact worldwide. I feel very proud to have played a part in creating a company that does just that”
